Running a Mod

To use a mod you will need a .tpf file.

Run TexMod.exe.

Click the big folder icon in the Target Application section and select Browse. Find your GuildWars folder and select your gw.exe. Switch to "Package Mode". In the "Select package" section press the small folder icon and find the .tpf file you want to use and select it. And hit run, if all goes well your mod should work .

Yep, did it and nothing happens

I have started creating a custom hero control panel, but it's quite difficult to get everything lined up properly.

Anyway, you can find it for download at the usual place (http://dfcowell.com/games/?q=node/5)

hey artemis, your UI mod is neat, but it seems to change the radar quest target icon to lose transparency, which looks really out of place...
one other thing... the 50% hp is hard to see O.O
good job though

I just want to say that I downloaded and used zwei2stein's cartography mod with no problems at all.

There were a few glitches such as green tiles on the floor where people were standing. Also, when I left Druid's Overlook in the Maguuma Jungle, the explorable area had a red tint to everything as if I was wearing red glasses. I fixed it by simply rezoning, but I thought I should mention it anyway.

Otherwise, it's a great mod that helped me find a few odd spots I had missing.

Redownload it off the Tomb Raider site, it is the official and safe texmod. Ignore the trojan warnings, its known as a false positive.

A few pages back you'll see a mod with pink strips on the health bar. That post is the mod, read what's there and you can extract the texture and the tpf file. I replied to that post with a quote so you'll see another variation in my reply that can also be downloaded by following the instructions given in the OP.

Whoa, I just had an idea... What about an Elite Capping mod? Simply put the skill icon for the elite where the bosses are known to spawn. Might be tough to do in prophecies because of the variable spawns.

Also, is there a way to remove the blackness in Torment/FoW/UW/SF/etc...?

As far as the quest icons on the radar go, that's a transparency issue, which I am working through one file at a time. There are 71 textures in my mod so far and it's still nowhere near complete.

As far as the 50% issue goes, is it that you can't see the level of health below 50% due to it being too dark, or is it that you can't tell where the 50% mark is?

Very nice mod. I found a glitch though , I don't know if you can do anything about it. When you target yourself , below you some smileys appear.

@Arcane
Yea, its possible to remove the darkness on "underground" maps, check the latest quartz download for a standalone version of it under ailmapv2 for an example.

Could I get a screenshot of this? It sounds like a very strange bug.

That sort of texture glitch seems semi common, but its fixed easyly, minimise gw and maximise and they should dissapear.

can't tell where the change is at times, its very subtle. a line like other mods might be needed *shrug*
